"Easy, route 18 is a pain but the T is helpful for travel to the city. When the roads are completed travel should be fast and easy. "

"Compared to the surrounding towns (with the exception of Brockton) Abington is not a great place to live. some of the properties are priced ok, but some are priced off the chart and the rent is just crazy. it comes down to greed. the rent goes up an average of 7% a year which is twice the cost of living. I found trying to buy a house just as bad. The properties conditions just do not reflect the asking price. There are a lot of drugs going through Abington and the police seem uninterested in stopping it. The schools are some of the worst in the US. the high school is rated a 3 on a scale from 1-10 rated by the national system not by myself. but I can tell you my 13 yr old finds herself bored with school and easily gets A's and was on the honor roll all of 2013, but I had to help her make it fun and interesting and suggested she get a study partner to try and challenger her and her classmates and to tutor others that my not understand the work as well as she does to help give her a greater understanding of the work, not that she needed it. I don't know what the crime rate is listed at as far as the national average but I can tell you the drug dealers and drunks usually just bother and beat on each other but an innocent person gets caught up in the violence sometimes and the Abington Police Dept really seem to be doing as little as possible to make it to retirement. I should not blanket all of the police like this. there are 2 police officers I know that do seem to care, but there isn't that much they can do with little to no support. as far as nightlife there really isn't too many really good choices. There are a good number of average to below average places that could keep you busy, but keep your expectations low and you won't be disappointed. You can find some good choices nearby just not in Abington. I am looking to move out of Abington and Massachusetts next year, The cost of living here is too high. I can make the same money and keep more of it in other states"
