2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHonestly, this school is horrible and I seriously don't recommend. I just got out of 5th grade and I'm so relived. Behavior is insane, it is excused or not disciplined. Lunch is horrible, and kids randomly shout out inappropriate words even on the bus, not even 5th graders, little children! And it's not confronted nor fixed. The principal is also the worst, Mitchem only cares about sc ready test scores and scores in general, you can be on her good side but when you make a low score she's just rude even when you have manners. The only good thing about this school is that they treat kids with disabilities good, though they change the special needs teacher. A fight happened on the bus and the bus driver didn't even do anything, she even smiled when it happened. The assistant principal blamed the older student just because the other was younger even though the younger student started the fight. The same lessons are also repeated every week and they aren't even memorable. My entire 5th grade class was failing in math because one teacher didn't want to do her job, after many parents complained only then did the principals get on her. From my personal experience I don't recommend this school for anyone's child, a lot of things need to be changed and I'm glad I'm out of there.Other Review1mo ago - College Park Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI just came here for my eigth grade year, behavior is insane. The school lacks a lot. There isn't enough punishment going on, there are fights, there is bullying, not really any information gets sent to parents. Situations on the bus don't really seem to get handled depending on who your bus driver is. Lots of racism. In the halls people will be saying slurs and cussing. (It becomes a normal occurrence at that point) Music/band teacher grades a certian way making it difficult to get a somewhat decent grade. If you are playing good while others aren't the class as a whole will bring you down, making it hard to bring it up anyway, grading playing tests are weird too, people swap out to do grades and sometimes get stuck with the grade and in the class. Time for the good things! Great 8th grade math teachers. They actually stand up and teach rather than making us do a bunch of work by ourselves online. Work is on paper for the most part! They are always open to questions and help when you need it. Thats it, thank you for reading and good luck if you go to this school! That being said, I personally had a wonderful experience both academically and athletically. Social life was active as well.Other Review1y ago
