What Locals Say about Highland Park

  • Emilysjostrom77
"People walking dogs all the time, most have proper etiquette and will cross the street if you also have a dog so they don’t be aggressive towards each other"
  • Rick M.
"I've lived here for 3 years. Well kept area with friendly people enjoying outdoor activities. Very quiet neighborhood. "
  • Jamie B.
"Commercial grade 4th of July fireworks every year for at least 2 weeks and a cannon after every Seahawks game."
  • Trulia User
"A good blend of different house styles that are slowly being improved to make the neighborhood a great place!"
  • Trulia User
"We don’t have any specific community events that I know of, but then again I don’t do much outside of my family. "
  • Sbessho
"Commuting via transit is convenient and efficient. It is much more difficult to commute via automobile due to a limited corridor. "
  • Theresa H.
"Great neighborhood for walking the dog. Most streets have sidewalks and there are some nice parks to visit. "
  • Hosstanz
"Close to SeaTac airport, and 20 minute bus ride to professional sports parks and downtown. One of the last remaining neighborhoods that has somewhat affordable housing left."
  • Seattledan000
"The Highland Park area is quite nice. Very pet friendly, everyone walks their dogs. There is quick access to Westwood Village which we use as our commercial district. It's a one stop shop. "
  • Therese B.
"I live here and find this area extremely convenient. I love having parks nearby. And a dog park. This area is close to West Wood Village, less then 10 minutes from the West Seattle Junction, 10 from Burien, 10 from Beacon Hill....I feel that it is in the middle of everywhere that I need to go. There are many families that live here and a strong sense of community. "
