What Locals Say about Wilson

  • Jproperks
"People are great and always welcoming regardless of age, disability, race, etc. Lots to do during summer time "

"The Village of Wilson lies within the Town of Wilson. The regular population is low. However, once summer arrives folks with boats, open up their summer homes and everything picks up. The Village has all of the essentials; pharmacy, grocery, bars and a funeral home. The school system is excellent and many families with children locate in this area for this reason.. Wilson is located at the shore of Lake Ontario and you can see Toronto 24 miles to the north from the lakeshore. The lake is deep, it never freezes over, so ice fishing is better left to Lake Erie. The area is safe, I used to walk and stargaze in the middle of the night without giving it a thought. Most residents don't feel the need to lock doors on either houses or vehicles. It's a quick ride to get to the Niagara County seat, Lockport. Anything one might need is there. Also close to Lewiston. an artsy community with big name bands playing in Art Park. I have lived many places but overall Wilson was my favorite. You have to like cool and cold weather along with lake breezes. I do. "

"Quiet country road. Close to schools. Short drive to town and cities.Prooerty has room for riding horses, 4 wheelers, a walk with the dogs. Privacy is a A-Plus. Beautiful landscaped property, fenced in land for horses, 10 acres hay field. Too much to list."
