Newport is a town in New Castle County, Delaware. It is located on the Christina River. It is best known for being the home of colonial inventor Oliver Evans.
Most homes in Newport are owner-occupied, so it is comforting to have the stability of neighbors that will be there year in, year out. Ladies seem to be more attracted to this town than men are, and the result of this is a chiefly female population.
Some of the homes in Newport have hardwood floors that have been professionally refinished, giving you the aesthetics of an original feature with the peace of mind that it's in good condition. The handful of ranch-style homes in this town were built some time ago but are excellent starter homes for young people. With modern life being so busy, a well-equipped family room, like those found in many homes in this area, affords a place to relax and enjoy each other.
