What Locals Say about Penn Valley

"Lake wildwood is not dog friendly at all. Dogs are not allowed in any community areas, including the lake and all parks. There’s one trail you can walk your dogs on. Your only allowed to walk your dog on the street with no sidewalks."

"Most houses have limited sized yards but have a vast area to walk on a leash. Most dogs are friendly. "

"Not much traffic at all, nice scenery all around and a nice river 10 minutes down the road you can swim in. The only thing is that the houses are very close together in the gated area along with not being able to ride motorcycles and paying to park them at the front gates annually. "

"I would like to see the bike path extended along Penn Valley Rd to Canyon Creek Estates, so that bicycle riders would have a nice long (safe) path to ride the length of Penn Valley Rd."

"Surrounded by beautiful foothills, wildlife and fun at the lake yet just over a mile walk to dentists, doctors, a small grocery, library, realty offices a phlebotomy lab, and a pharmacy. The best is a family run authentic Thai luncheon/dinner restaurant that does not ever disappoint. "

"I lived in this neighborhood for the tears and grew up there. While it has changed it is still pretty quiet and far enough away from the hubbub of town that it makes it pleasant"

"I live in the area and it is a quiet community with lots of agriculture, horse ranches, and cattle ranches mostly. A few small local restaraunts and small grocery store. Only 10 minutes from Nevada City 5 star dining and 1 hour from tahoe skiing. Sac International airport is less than 1 hour away. SF bay area 2.5 hours. Major shopping in Roseville (45 min) and Marysville/Yuba City (30 minutes) "
