4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter just started this school after 2 years of home schooling and I have to say that the experience has been wonderful. Everybody has gone over and beyond to make the transition smooth for my daughter. They are caring and considerate. I want to give all the staff thanks to welcome us like you did. I wish all the parents could see how wonderful the staff is. The only negative thing I have to say about Riverland Elementary is that SOME (NOT ALL) of the parents are very impatient at drop off and pick up. Language that shouldn't be used around the kids are used by the parents.Parent Review8y ago - Stranahan High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers and staff are dedicated to the students. They have really good magnet programs and alternate pathways for the students to be successful. I'm happy that I enrolled my child at Stranahan. He did very well in the Engineering Magnet program. Now he's on his way to the University of Florida! (There were a lot of students accepted to UF...) It is by far one of the best high schools in Broward County.Parent Review1y ago - New River Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAbsolutely terrible school! The principal is disconnected with what is going on in this school from 6th grade to 8th. Ms. Reep seems to be the run that runs the show and her staff carries a I don't care attitude just like her. The coach is terrible he picks kids that are already gifted with athleticism instead of building and creating a team. The Magnet program is being ran by a control freak. Example: This school called me on a very serious note cause my son took too long in the bathroom. My son is lactose intolerant and has IBS. All they had to do was asked but they gave him detention instead. They are more focused on what your child has on instead of what is going on with the student. We didn't clean clothes so I sent my son to school with Jeans and he was placed in detention for the entire rest of the day. Way to go Ms. Reep. The teachers don't care, I am a firm believe I am a firm believer in teacher/parent communication. I'm still waiting to hear back from teachers and the useless guidance counselor. There is sooo much more just stay away if you canParent Review3mo ago - Check out schools near 912 SW 22nd Ave #2.

"I don’t own a dog and do not see many people walking their dog in this neighborhood. I do know that the local park has a small area for dogs, but I have never seen any dogs playing there."

"The community tries to come together and help one another. Some Neibor’s aren’t the friendliest; but I guess that’s every where. overall, the area is very safe and I nor my family have never had a problem living here. The only down side is that nice areas are surrounded by bums and not the nicest of areas. I wish the police would clean the area up. "

"Very dog friendly neighborhood! Sidewalks and scenery, parks and several reputable vet clinics within a few minutes drive (even emergency hour service offered at some). Chances are you’ll have several major animal lovers on your street and we all lookout for one another and each other’s furry family members. If or when a local dog/pet goes missing, it’s an all hands on deck approach! I give the area an A+ animal friendly rating but do have two note worthy complaints. One - those who allow their dogs to roam unsupervised or off leash. It’s rare but as happens in most neighborhoods, some residents are just unapologetically inconsiderate. And two - dogs are often found having been abandoned in the area. However, when neighbors do find lost or abandoned dogs they go beyond the call of duty to help reunite or rescue them. "

"Easy commute for the most part. You can’t beat the location! As a whole though, south Florida rush hour traffic makes me crazy as I’m sure it does most ppl. However living in this area is a huge bonus! Very close to ALL major highways, downtown Fort Lauderdale, groceries, shopping, beach, dining and nightlife, parks and the airport! "
