2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is a kindergartner at Patterson . Last week someone posed as her grandfather trying to pick her up . Although they didn't allow her to go with the person , I WAS NOT NOTIFIED !!! My child's daycare told me about the situation since they're the ones that pick her up from school ! The following day I went to the office for information and the lady BARBERA as well as The principle basically said they couldn't do anything ! She couldn't remember not one little detail about the person that allegedly claimed they were her grandfather, not what they looked like , the name on their id since she claimed they have her The id to look at NOTHING ! They simply shrugged they're shoulders at me as if I was overreacting ! This was an attempted abduction !! I am currently seeking higher authorities because I WILL NOT LET THIS GO !! In my last year here there were fights almost EVERY day which prevented us for having an average learning experience. The kids are disrespectful, teachers are lazy with their jobs, and if you present a solution it most likely will get ignored. It is so loud in this school and it is hardly ever quiet. "It has a distinct location between multiple public transportation routes, it's not far from the airport or 30th st. station. It's about a 10 minute ride to old city and a 20 minute ride to downtown Philadelphia. The houses in some parts are a nice size for a small family and it's a good area if your contemplating buying investment real estate for extra residual income considering that the property values are still quite reasonable in comparison to the rest of the city. However, the crime rates haven't dropped in the area in comparison to some of the newly renovated areas of the city."
