8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m a recent alum within the last few years, and reading the other reviews wanted me to say this. Unfortunately not everyone has the best experiences in school which is sad and I wish them the best, but MSHS is not to blame. There are little things that make MSHS great but there are big things too, like the teachers. I swear to God every teacher was like a great friend as well as a mentor, I would really think this is the best staff of any school in the country. Someone mentioned the school running a profit coffee shop, not true. It’s actually a marketing class that runs it and they use the sales to run other projects in the class! I went there for 4 years, never saw a fight, never had a problem with the administration, never truly had a problem. For the area, has an immense amount of AP courses. Seriously a fantastic school with life changing staff, can’t wait to send my kids here someday.Other Review1mo ago - Sandy Knoll School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is amazing. One of the last neighborhood schools in town. The staff is family and treat parents and children like family too. So many great things happening in this school every day. My son loves it there!Parent Review1y ago - Bothwell Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAnyone who recommends this school clearly works there!! The teachers are the only thing holding this school up! The administration at this particular school is a joke. The principal is incompetent and it’s sad this large of a student body is being led by someone who’s ability to lead and manage is on par with a 6th grade student. The people leading this school clearly never left highschool and the decisions and choices made by them make this obvious!!! This school caters to bullies and those in popular social circles and leaves troubled students, underprivileged and special needs kids by the way side. Adults that bully are an embarrassing addition to our nice community. Y’all should be ashamed of yourselves for failing these kids with your inability to lead. Every other school in this district has their stuff together, why is this one the only one failing? For the main middle school in this city I hope the higher ups do some major consideration in the replacing the higher ups here. The teachers here are more qualified to run this school than the people in the office. Come on Marquette you can do so much better. We have such a nice city and So many kids here being failed here at this crucial age.Other Review1y ago - Check out schools near 524 W Ridge St.

"Marquette is these biggest city in the area. It acts as for the Center for government in Michigan in the UP. For that reason it seems bigger than it really is. The education and healthcare in the area is outstanding."

"This is a safe neighborhood, well maintained properties, nestled into the foothills of Marquette Mountain. Some lots abut a green strip with frequent sightings of deer and a variety of migratory birds during the summer months. Downtown is more than a short walk but is a reasonable bike ride away (warm months). Otherwise public transport is available from the front door. Snow plowing is excellent on Altamont and you can always get out during winter if you keep the foot of your driveway clear. Marquette has just the right amount of tourism to support a variety of sporting events and festivals during all seasons but not so much tourism that it feels like a congested bigger tourist area like Traverse City. There are a least three local micro-brewries, several good restaurants, and always entertainment, especially on weekends. Marquette is growing just enough to support continuous improvements and developments of its parks and attractions and there are at least two (three star type) hotels and along with a number of nice chain hotels for visitors. Downtown becomes almost magical in the wintertime with its snow-capped sandstone facades and "lit-up" trees. Being situated on a bay of Lake Superior makes Marquette one the the most picturesque small towns in the Midwest. "
