4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNow with me, it goes back 50+ years as a student at Compton High School, I was 16 years old and a 10th grader, and I dropped out. Compton High School is somewhat to blame but some goes to Walton Junior High School - I wasn’t prepared for High School but like Walton Jr. High helped some. It is US Army time at 17; it was a good move for me hands down. I grew up fast and I matured too with all the responsibilities offered to me in the army - 13 years of active duty army, and it is here that I received my high school diploma in 1975 in the army now! You can still achieve a goal even when the school is dropping the ball, not to educate you. At age 70, I received my Bachelor of Ministry degree plus I received a GPA of 4.0 (2 schools first 3.7 GPA; second 4.0). I am the ONLY person in my family to receive a college degree plus my daughters.Parent Review1y ago - Dickison Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child was held down in the middle of the cafeteria and two oversized kindergarteners pulled her pants down and inappropriately touched her. Nobody saw her but the children around her that helped her get away from the two children that touched her. I was notified after the school day ended and they brushed it under the rug when I brought it up to administrators. I pressed for an report to be made and never was given one. I also had a meeting with the principal and my child was blamed since she has behavior issues and was currently fighting to get into special Ed. Pulled her out of the school the same day and my child still has nightmares about the interaction with those children to this day. Please be cautious with your young black children. They are overlooked and not cared for at this school !Parent Review7mo ago - Davis Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is HORRIBLE!!! The lady's working the front office are rude, lazy and they rarely know what their doing. Majority of the time they don't know what's going on in the school, that's because their too busy eating stuffing their face and not doing their job. Very unprofessional.Parent Review10y ago - Check out schools near 338 W School St.
