The St. Timothy's Episcopal School is an academically focused Early Childhood Musical Conservatory for grades Toddlers, Pre-K grade to 6th grade with a Pedagogical focus using the Reggio Emilia Inspired Approach using the Suzuki Method of Music that is inclusive of the most current thinking around STEM and STEAM Education as a Foundation. It is our belief that Music Education is a Powerful Tool for a Child's development and current research confirms that music training stimulates a whole network of brain areas, and that musical activity draws on nearly every region of the brain. We believe that music education speeds the development of speech and reading skills, trains children to focus their attention for sustained periods, and helps them to develop empathy and emotional intelligence.
