The bully would continously attack my child, openly and would verbally threaten to end his life and still the school gave no consequences to that student and did the bare minimum to help my child feel safe. This school is very unorganized and the principal made promises to my child that she couldn't keep like seating accomodations to help my child feel safe and away from the bully. They have not shown they care for my child nor his mental health. They let her believe in herself, make me believe that she is quite capable to excel in her personal academic studies. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePelham Garden Middle School is a hidden gem in the Bronx's District 11. The administrators, teachers, and staff are extremely supportive, going above and beyond to help all students succeed academically, as well as in the social-emotional aspect. They take students' safety seriously and have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying. If you are looking for a well-rounded education for your child, PGM is the school for you. They offer challenging, hands-on curriculums, extracurricular activities, and after-school programs that will help elevate your child's critical thinking to the next level. It is gratifying to see students fully engaged in their learning, in a fun and safe environment. Thanks to PGMS, my daughter's future looks brighter than ever. She graduated with four regents exams and is now attending a six-year summer program at New York University. I call PGMS our 'Specialized Middle School in the Bronx.
