Read what parents are saying about Pelham Gardens Middle SchoolPelham Garden Middle School is a hidden gem in the Bronx's District 11. The administrators, teachers, and staff are extremely supportive, going above and beyond to help all students succeed academically, as well as in the social-emotional aspect. They take students' safety seriously and have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying. If you are looking for a well-rounded education for your child, PGM is the school for you. They offer challenging, hands-on curriculums, extracurricular activities, and after-school programs that will help elevate your child's critical thinking to the next level. It is gratifying to see students fully engaged in their learning, in a fun and safe environment. Thanks to PGMS, my daughter's future looks brighter than ever. She graduated with four regents exams and is now attending a six-year summer program at New York University. I call PGMS our 'Specialized Middle School in the Bronx. I would not be surprised if they become a Blue Ribbon School in the near future. Keep it up, Panthers!!.
Posted by a parent on 6/25/2023I'm in the 8th grade and I have had a great time here and the teachers are really nice and care about your education and want you to be successful. They are preparing us for high school and also they offer a select class of kids to take the Math and science regents (I am one of those kids) and I find it to be a great opportunity also the school is very fun to be in overall

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has been a great place for my children to learn. I have found the staff to be accommodating, understanding, and professional. All my questions are answered. Whenever I have reached out to staff about activities to support learning, I have received many recommendations and good feedback. No, it's not a perfect school, and no school is perfect. However, I find that any effort I put in, the teachers take and run with it to help my child succeed. I feel we are a team. Finally, this school is a positive place. Other places that I have visited just didn't have the same vibe. I have consistently been treated with respect at PS 97.Other Review10mo ago - Ps 121 Throop

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attended Throop from K-5, and graduated in 2020. I felt that she had received a well-rounded education from Throop. All her teachers were friendly, kind, and respectful. My daughter is currently in grade 8 and she still remembers all her teachers from Throop. After Throop, My daughter attended the Honors program at MS 181 for one year until she got accepted at Hunter College High School starting at grade 7. She is almost done with grade 8 and she is doing exceptionally well at Hunter. I feel her continued success can be partly attributed to the foundation she received at Throop. So, if any teachers at Throop are reading this, Thank you. Your efforts continue to bear fruits even years after your kids leave you.Parent Review11mo ago - Ps 153 Helen Keller

They provide a nurturing, loving and safe environment on a daily basis. They provide many opportunities for family engagement and they are very professional. I highly recommend this school.Parent Review2mo ago - Academy of Learning
