1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePlainfield high school is just one of the many schools that make up the school district of Plainfield. A lot of people tend to complain about the school itself without having actually experienced going there, its always the hearsay, but I attended PHS. I had the opportunity to attend honor and advance placement classes, which I believe did their jobs; as well as teachers who helped me decide to attend university when I personally did not see my own potential, so now I can have the privilege to say I am an engineer. There are other schools in the district but just as this one is struggling to have teachers all the other schools are in the same position. I would see students who would transfer from these so called better schools like PAAAS or Barack and they would find themselves placed in the lower level classes and these same students would comment on how they would not even have a teacher for a whole school year. So this just goes to show that school isn't always what people make it seem like, whether you go to a highly rated school or not; with that being said I also believe that the schools need better funding to help their students and faculty be able to take a step towards great things.Other Review7mo ago - Hubbard Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs former parent of Hubbard I have had the opportunity to see the school evolve over a period of time. The administration has worked continously to improve the academic performance, safety and culture of the school. Hubbard's teachers are very patient, caring, and strive toward making these students some of the best in the city. This school has turned around from it's yester years and has transformed for the better. Keep up the hardwork educators and students you are worth it!Other Review8y ago - Jefferson Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSure, the place is nice but the only problem is the "privilages" that a student needs to continue enjoying the school. Heres the thing, not everyone makes these problems, not only that but even if you cancel the stuff we are allowed to do, they will continue to do it. What type of learning is that? Another problem is, you say your preparing us for the future yet the school is like an office. The manager is the teacher telling us what to do and we are the workers listening to what they tell us to do.Other Review1y ago - Check out schools near 24-28 Emma St.

"It's not unique. It was a nice neighborhood many ages ago. The older generation is being taken over by younger crowds that to not maintain the upkeep of the homes. The city is doing its best with the introduction of charter schools to help our minority students. Several sections are crime and drug ridden. Would not recommend for families. "
