Description

This property is no longer available to rent or to buy. This description is from September 25, 2023
This gorgeous craftsman has all of its original charm - a front porch with a swing, grand entry, large living & dining room spaces to host on holidays, built-ins, and unending curb appeal - but has modern day luxuries like a 2 car garage (potential DADU? Gear storage galore!), a renovated kitchen w/ french doors out to the newly landscaped back yard & dry porch for rainy days, a new MIL unit w/ separate entrance (great rental potential), new gas fireplace, new roof and city views! Easy access to all the city has to offer (including transit, restaurants, groceries and coffee shops), but the tranquility of a large lot w/ mature landscaping. With charm and function, this is the urban retreat you've been waiting for.

"I don’t see many dogs being walked around my neighborhood. Lots of concrete, not much green. There are trees but I haven’t seen many dogs. Only once in a while. "

"The area around Seattle U feels safe with the security guards on campus and the police station a couple blocks away. It’s quiet most days but the weekends get crazy in the Pike/Pine/Broadway area. It’s not uncommon for to hear thumping music from neighbors in the buildings adjacent to the school. Not a whole lot of children around but sometimes people will bring their kids to the lawns at SU. "

"It's a great place to live, allowing you don't mind hipsters or homeless. The air smells of body odor and marijuana smoke. The streets are lined with old volvos and other obscure old cars, all of which take up the extremely limited parking. But that's fine, you don't need a car, you'll walk everywhere right. Nope, not without being accosted for change at every corner. Ride a bicycle then. Nope, all your money will go to medical bills for getting run over by the old volvos that take up all the parking. And that's not even the best part, who wouldn't want to pay $3000 for a studio apartment. It really doesn't get much better than Capitol Hill. Seattle : where the streets are paved with syringes."

"I have lived in this neighbor for over 17 years and my current location is great! Just blocks away from amazing restaurants, dance bars and all the stores that you need to live in action, arts, theatre and music packed Seattle. Parks within two blocks, dog friendly and totally walkable. "

"My location is right between Capitol Hill, Madison Park and Madison Valley, as well as a quick drive to the Central District. I am seconds away from Safeway and some really cute local bars and small restaurants! It's also a straight shot to work, which is great, by bus or car. The neighborhood is up and coming and it's been nice to see improvements and developments to make it more charming. I don't necessarily want to be wandering around late at night but it's getting safer. There are some very cute parks around too!"
