If you ask the child what they learned they will tell you they did not learn anything. It's very frustrating and to think our taxes are paying for these terrible schools. Therefore, I will transfer the child to another school. Also, apparently the school does not give the teachers money for supplies so the teachers ask the students for items. 2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would rate my experience at this school as an average experience. The administrative stuff and the teachers are really nice and helpful. The security is screaming at the students to move. One gets used to it.. The school offers all kinds of clubs, nobody has to feel left out. The level of education is truly not the best, many kids are on their phones during class or cheat on tests, there's almost no homework for non IB students. That has to change. There were some fights, especially at the end of the school year, because kids got bored. In overall Terry Parker High School is an okay school, which can still improve.Student Review5y ago

"San Marco is arguably the most dog friendly neighborhood in Jacksonville. Two wonderful daycare and grooming businesses are in relative walking distance, as well as a vet. A mom “n’ pop, all-natural pet market, is centrally located for basic pet supply needs. There are an abundant number of well maintained parks with dog cleanup stations on-site, including a fenced in dog park. Traffic is moderate with low speeds, which eases concerns on walks. Most restaurants allow dogs and provide thoughtful accommodations, especially in the hotter months. "

"I like the neighborhood, situated south of downtown, along the St. John’s River. The only drawback to living here is that there is not a grocery store in the near vicinity, meaning I have to drive to get groceries. If not for that, I would probably not drive at all in the neighborhood."

"It's safe but too many cats. Too many mosquitoes from flooded alleys. Old buildings, watch out for musty smells from air conditioning units falling apart, not sure landlords will fix. Would not recommend after Hurricane Irma flooded these streets."
