9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe staff at this school need to reevaluate whether or not they should teach middle school and realize the impact they have on the students entrusted to them. The bullying and harassment my child received from the adults at this school was shocking. Received nearly daily calls at work because my kid sighed when asked to get out a book (deemed disrepectful), was chewing gum (which he got from students with IEP's allowing gum chewing), was too loud in the lunchroom or shared lunch with other students. These infractions were disciplined with lunch detentions in the reflection room. The staff made my kid feel like they were going to be a drop out, on drugs or in prison. Who treats a sixth grader this way? We began to see grades falling and our child no longer smiled or laughed. I tried to talk to the staff about the impact they were having on my child's mental health and my concerns fell on deaf ears. Even contacted the principal to discuss the staff's behavior, never received at return call or email. Never heard from a counselor either, only talked with the vice principal who was dismissive and defensive of staff. We moved our child to another school where they are now thriving, the daily phone calls have stopped and the staff at the new school have told me what a pleasure my child is to have in class, how engaged they are in classroom activities and discussions, and how much they love having my student. My students' grades have improved, and their positive personality has started to return. My child's experience at Gateway has caused them to be cautious when interacting with adults and there is a lingering distrust that we continue to work on.Parent Review1mo ago - Henry M. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm a senior here and this place truly is struggling. Its practically falling apart in some places, budget on classes is falling so low next year there wont be as many electives anymore, they cant afford to keep a lot of the teachers. they only have ONE men's bathroom open all the time for all the students and continue to close every other bathroom for boys only.... Not only is there one bathroom but there is one toilet and its absolutely disgusting no one dares to use it, I have to go to the nurses office and use the bathroom in there if I have to go. The staff here is pretty alright but there is a lot of impatient, tyrant like teachers here that make life incredibly hard, not allowing kids to have alternative ways of learning and refuses to apply a students preferred learning style. There's a couple homophobic and far conservative teachers here that push their own beliefs on students. There are so many little loopholes that allow the school to collect money from you which is not okay. Instead of getting detention, suspension or expulsion for vaping in the bathroom, they will make you pay a 200 dollar fine that will not let you graduate until you pay it. This place stinks.Student Review5mo ago - Forest View Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy youngest has been attending Forest View since Kindergarten and is now in fourth grade and so far not at all pleased with most of the teachers. His teachers either have been completely noncommunicative with the parents and we have been left clueless about what they are actually learning at school. He never has any homework or brings any completed work back at home. His 3rd-grade teacher was nice but she lacked in keeping the kids engaged in learning. They were doing simple addition and writing in a journal, that's all I can think of that they did that year. Everything seemed to be so easy and boring for him that he completely lost interest and I had to pick up the slack and tried to give him additional work at home for the lack of learning and engagement he was getting at this school. His two older siblings were fortunate to go to a different school, and it was significantly different and better. Every year we hope that he will finally get a good teacher, but unfortunately, we might have another teacher that seems to lack interest in teaching or even bother to respond to parents' email.Parent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 14915 38th Dr SE #F3012.

"I work 2.7 miles from my home. There are 5 stop lights between here and my work, and most of them take several long minutes to change. There is a light that sometimes takes a full 15 minutes to get through because of the timing of the lights. Otherwise the area and commute are nice. "

"I have lived in Bothell for 18 years. It’s a nice place to live. Most people are friendly, very family oriented neighborhoods. My only complaint is that there is an excessive amount of speeding on a main road right next to my house & I have contacted the Bothell police NUMEROUS times over the years and they do Nothing about it. I fear it will take a fatal accident before they take action. Kirkland police seem to take traffic issues more seriously. "
