Gateway Middle School

We are having good experience with both of our kids so far.Infrastructure is good.There is an improvement needed for teachers to encourage every student to participate in extra curricular activities.Most of the times students/parents are not aware of any extra school activities or sports which takes place.

While the school has a positive reputation, I have been disappointed by how it handles active and competitive children, especially boys. Rather than teaching safe play, sportsmanship, and healthy competition, the school often seems to restrict activities and remove opportunities for kids to be energetic.I believe children should be encouraged to develop their strengths, learn how to compete respectfully, and be recognized when they excel. My concern is that the school focuses too much on keeping everyone the same instead of helping each child grow individually.I also feel boys are often treated as problems when they are simply being active or competitive. From my perspective, there is not enough balance in how boys and girls are supported.Based on our experience, I would not recommend this school for families who value active play, competition, individual achievement, and a more balanced approach to discipline and development.

My son loves this school. He loves pacer program and completed marathon this year. He is really excited being there. He also likes the science-fun experiment,Maths and speciality classes.

I will never recommend this school compare with other schools in Everett school district. One of 5th grade teacher join from other school where she was principal and disappeared from that school without any notice or explanation to parents. She is trying to run this school with racism between some favorite students and other students. She doesn’t come from empathy background and always try to find mistakes from other kids.

My son was called a liar and a cheater. There's a reason why this school cannot hire good teachers.
