What Locals Say about Placentia

  • Trulia User
"This is a great neighborhood for dogs. People are very kind and responsible. They do require leashes at the park, but most people are pretty cool if your dog is trained. "

"Nice areas to walk. Quiet neighborhood. Not very culturally diverse. Many different restaurants near."

"Lived here for 11 years. There is a sense of community. Neighbors know each other by name. Other neighbors walking by will say high. Families are predominate and kids play with one another. We feel safe here and have no plans to move - Placentia is a well kept secret of North OC. Stores, parks , restaurants will have the same small community vibe (in a Suburban setting) - it’s highly probable you will run across someone you know, have the door open for you, cars letting you go first on the road or just running across someone you know from your kids school."

"Placentia is a fun place to live with lots of community events going on. concerts in the park, taste of Placentia, Tamale fest, Harvest parade and so many more. We have a good school system. It is a safe city with plenty of sidewalks and parks. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping centers for all ages and we are centrally located to the 57, 91 and 55 freeways and a hop, skip and a jump to the John Wayne Airport."

"Dogs are common and welcome in Placentia. Unfortunately, there isn't a dog park in the city, but Brea has a nice, fairly new dog park on Valencia just past Lambert. They recently took the dog waste bins/bags out of the sports complex, but it's not that big of a deal. Most houses here have plenty of room for multiple dogs, just be careful with small dogs in the with as coyotes are active even in early hours of the morning. "
