  • Trulia User
"There is very little cultural, racial or social diversity in Port Townsend and the age demographic is skewed towards seniors and retirees. This is a sleepy community with very little available for adolescents or college aged kids. "

"Easy to get downtown. A lot of the population live a few miles outside of downtown area. A 25 mph speed limit is strictly reinforced in all of downtown. "

"My neighbourhood has great access to Uptown or Downtown. There are no sidewalks or bike lanes on the street in front of my house. The side streets have sidewalks."

  • Anika
"My mom lived in this area for several years and it was like a sanctuary to visit. The neighborhood is quiet and there is a local park, walking trails through the woods, and even a duck pond."

"The schools are excellent, folks are friendly, climate is mild. Did I mention that "eccentric" means tastefully artistic for both poor and rich households. And did I mention that there is always a festival "right around the corner." (My favorite is the PT FIlm Festival.) Internationally known, affordable, and oh so beautiful, this is one small town that never grows boring. Change of pace? Seattle is an hour away and just down the Sound by ferry, small plane or auto. "If you can dream it, you can do it in Port Townsend. Good schools, transportation, sports, nightlife, and many, many opportunities to grow. We've got three organic farmer's markets, two great libraries, several movie theaters, a vibrant maritime community *and* "small plane friendly" international airport with fly-in cafe. Good restaurants, neighbors and very low crime rate. What's *not* to like about this town?"

"This location at Nroth Beach in particular is excellent for families and retirees, with beaches and parks only a couple blocks away it offers ample recreation and fresh clean air from the Straits of Juan de Fuca just a few minutes walking distance from your doorstep. Close to shoping and restaurants, schools, healthcare, Centrum workshops at Fort Worden State Park, and more."
