What Locals Say about Norwood

"The city as a whole has becoming increasingly “sketchy” throughout. It still has good parts but even those areas are not as good as what they were 8 years ago. I’d suggest doing some strong research."

"I have a 15 minute commute that is almost all highway. I-640/I-40. With I-40 being the most dangerous and ridiculously stupid."

"No particular neighborhood get togethers, but neighbors are friendly. We are centrally located and less than 15 minutes from downtown. "

"Moved to this area in 2007 and love it. Close to great dining and shopping...Home Depot and Lowes!!! "

"Not the best neighborhood to move in. Values are higher than they should be. Will not get your money out of these homes."
- Mrs C.

"We've lived here for 10 years and we've never had any problems with crime, noise or other nuisance. We are 5 minutes to great shopping; 20 minutes to malls; 5 minutes to highways; 15 minutes to downtown Knoxville! Many ways to get to all sides of the city! Great place to raise a family and economical."

"I live off of Pleasant Ridge road and have been here for close to five years. This area is super close to shopping, a park (including dog park), interstates, Oak Ridge, Downtown, Pellissippi Pkwy... just very convenient. Depending on where you choose to live, you can have a little sanctuary outside of the city but, still be within a 10 minute drive to downtown! I love being able to run to Wal-Mart or Aldi for last minute items and be home within 15 minutes! Great location."
