"Too many dogs running around. Animal control is nonexistent. People just let their dogs run around out their front doors. "

"I see people walking dogs all the time in fact there are dog parks on the area. Most people have animals."

"Lived here 44 years. Moved away for 5 years and moved right back here. I love our bedroom town. Close to the big cities nothing but a 20 minute drive. "

"not really just kind of the usual holiday stuff like trunk-r-treats, tree lighting, egg hunts at the park, and a fourth of July celebration. The flea market is kind of cool though."

"It's a nice place to be outside the city but close enough to still have options to go out. neighbors are friendlyfor the most part. "

"Very quiet neighborhoods. The majority of the people are respectful aside from the high schoolers that like to show off but very rare. I live off of & behind one of the main roads. Hardly come across disruptions. The busiest parts of the day is morning & middle of the days when school is starting & just getting out. I’ve lived here my entire life & would absolutely raise my kids here. Very low crime rate, the school systems are held to high standards & everything is very conveniently close unless you’re out in the country. But even then it’s only about a 10-15 minute drive to the nearest convenient store. Very well lit up streets & friendly people that make their normal walking/running routes around the area. All say Hi/Goodmorning, good evening, have a nice day! The parks are safe & well kept! "

"There is a dog park a few blocks away and there are many dog owners in the neighborhood. When a dog is loose and roaming it is communicated throughout many social media sites."

"my family has lived in this area for 60 years, it is a growing suburb of Sacramento with a small town feel."

"Galt is a great community. My son is in elementary school and they have pushed him as far as accelerated learning. We live a little farther in the country so walking to school is not conducive but lots of children do walk to school here. Galt has a great parks and rec department that offers a lot of extra activities, sports, ect. Great small town feel, tight-knit community."

"The Eggstravaganza Around Easter time, the Fourth of July parade, the lighting of the night and Christmas parade, various Fall and Halloween events, the once a month food truck event. We’ve lived here for about 2 1/2 years now, and we’ve been to more events here than we ever did when we were living in San Leandro, California for 12 years, where we used to live. We really love it here!"

"small town but not too small. the cops have nothing to do which leads to unnecessary traffic tickets but overall great place kinda similar to farmland. "

"HW 99 from Galt (Sac/San Joaquin counties) to Modesto (Stanislaus county) is 56 miles...in the mornings before 6-630 am the commute is ok...after not so much. Coming home isn't an option until at least 7 pm...so best description...it sucks."

"Sucks on 99 to and from Galt and Modesto, CA...South bound mornings I add 30 extra min leaving Galt, just to be safe on the normal 45 min drive...after work North bound gets gnarly as soon as you hit the freeway in Modesto...the 120 split going to the Bay is nasty...3 or more times a week it will take about 30 min or more just to go from Briggsmore on ramp to the 120 split..."

"This neighborhood is neat and well kept. Neighbors are freindly and pay attention to who is coming and going, but not in an intrusive way. Occasionaly a family/home will have a party, but it is a not a weekly or even monthly event. Lots of dogs barking when you walk by, but not roaming free. Few teenagers, which means few teenage drivers. Most are owner-occupied."

"I've lived in this community for eight years. The people here are very friendly. The neighborhood is clean and kept up. People watch each others houses to keep the area safe while still remaining respectful to privacy. Parents are very active in the schools and recreational activities with their children. I highly recommend this area for families."
