"Parents bought here in 1974 when it was at its finest. Used to be a golf course, and was called the La Jolla of Southeastern San Diego in the 70s and 80s. The neighborhood has changed and gone through a whole lot but it's coming back to life nicely and has gotten really diverse in a good way. "

"I wouldn't say unique. Changing rapidly. Was a good neighborhood but now it is just slowly fading to bad. Neighbors are not to speak of in a good way. Too bad times have changed"

"Pleasant, quiet suburban neighborhood. Neighbors are friendly without being too nosy. Yards are clean and well-kept. Homes are from the 1950s with charming details."

"I have lived here for 2 years and love it, great view of downtown. the residents are mostly retired military or currently serving. the school which is a magnet school is very accessable."
