Jefferson is really a part of our neighborhood and our community. The teachers all get involved in community service activities and join the kids at their 'extra-curricular, non-school related' events. It's been such an awesome, safe, loving/caring place for me to have my kids at for the past 4yrs.

We are a second generation family at Jefferson school and know that it has a rich past and a bright future! Love the communication and the staff!
Posted by a parent on 4/20/2010Jefferson Elementary creates an environment where my son can't wait to go to school. We moved to Wauwatosa knowing he woud go to the neighborhood school. We have the highest regard for the Faculty & the Principal!

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy grandson has gone to this school from k5 - 2 grade. We pulled him out for 3rd grade because bullying and some health issues. He was was home schooled and we decided to put him back into this school for 4th grade and it was the worst thing we could have done for him. The bullying was everyday by a few kids. He was called names, hit, and humiliatorizated and no punishment for the boys that were constantly doing it. Going to school everyday was like torture for him. We of course notified the school constantly, but nothing changed or got better. They did nothing . My daughter and I went to speak with the teacher as we were picking up my grandson earlier. When the can into the hallway she started yelling at my grandson and i told her to stop yelling at him. Then she started yelling at me and she had her hands clinched into a fest. I wouldn't recommend this school for anyone that is even considering sending their children to this school. Shame on Hawley for not doing anything about the bullying!
