West High School

This school was a nightmare for my children and had an immensely negative impact on their learning. Relentless bullying from key students that the school refused to ever address, but bullying toward my kids from parent volunteers, plus some key teachers. This school is racist, has no space for learning differences. They reward bullies while ignoring IEP’s. Having been a teacher for 20 years now I have never experienced such a toxic, cruel community. If you can possibly avoid this school, please do.

The community, teachers, principal and families make this a wonderful, positive, high achieving school to attend. We wouldn’t send our kid to any other Waukesha elementary, this school seems like a diamond in Waukesha and we have been thrilled with the communication home from teachers and administration. So happy with this school and we have only great things to say. Way to go teachers and admin!

We are 3 weeks into school and I am beyond impressed. We decided to open enroll to rose glen because of how many people told me how happy they were with the school. Now as a parent with a kindergartener I can say the school has exceeded my expectations. They have a fantastic community, the teachers that I've met have all been incredibly nice, my son's teacher has been great with communication and my son, who struggled at preschool and 4k , is actually excited about learning. We get weekly announcement calls from the principal to remind us about what's going on in the upcoming week, to arenas seem to be really involved in what is going on at the school. I would highly recommend this school to anyone moving to the area or people who are looking at schools outside of their home school.

I brought my kids to this school in the hopes that it would be better than the school district we are in. It was not. They are unable to provide the care needed for students with special needs and the teachers are stressed and disrespectful towards the students instead of leading by example. I had multiple run ins with the teachers trying to excuse their behavior but unable to understand the students disrespect to their disrespect. I was even told and heard said by more than one faculty member that kids need to respect adults because they are children....no not if you're being disrespectful. Bullying was high in middle school specifically. The social workers are a joke. I have a child with autism and was still refused an IEP. Just don't bring your kids here if you want to see them succeed, especially if they have special/behavioral needs.
