Read what parents are saying about North High SchoolSmall town feel high school experience. Great class sizes and engaging activities for students, with most becoming involved in both the school activities and others around the wonderful surrounding community. The decision to move to this area was a no-brainer and we could not be happier with Waukesha North!
Posted by a parent on 7/10/2021I'm a parent and this school is a big disappointment my son hates it and nothing is being done to fix the issues and the school district supervisor isn't any better im so upset and frustrated im moving from waukesha just so I can put my child into a different school
Posted by a parent on 9/3/2020North offers strong leadership to ensure academic readiness for the future. There is also a strong rec program matched with great coaches who really care. There is very little bullying, and being a smaller school helps maintain a strong feeling of community. Overall this is a great place to learn and grow!
Posted by a parent on 12/22/2019I graduated in 1984. Our son went there in 2014 and the ipads ruined his experience. Boys get sidetracked easily, and when the kids are allowed to play games in Algebra class they usually don't succeed. Colleges weren't pushed on the students. Our son left North after his Sophmore year with a 2.45 GPA. His first full semester at Catholic Memorial High in Waukesha he achieved a 3.72 GPA, one full point higher! There are no I-pads at CMH.
Posted by a parent on 11/16/2019I am a 1992 graduate of North High School. I had an awesome experience! The teachers and staff were excellent.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school was a nightmare for my children and had an immensely negative impact on their learning. Relentless bullying from key students that the school refused to ever address, but bullying toward my kids from parent volunteers, plus some key teachers. This school is racist, has no space for learning differences. They reward bullies while ignoring IEP’s. Having been a teacher for 20 years now I have never experienced such a toxic, cruel community. If you can possibly avoid this school, please do.Parent Review2y ago - Blair Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy oldest got placed in this school because I wanted him in a Dual Language program and this was the last one that had availability. And I am SOOOO happy I accidently landed there! I have two boys, now in 4K and 5K. Ms. Lopez and Mr. Masis are awesome! They are learning Spanish wonderfully and still continuing to learn at the normal pace a child should be! The support at that school is incredible! They have very dedicated teachers and staff!Parent Review6y ago - Hawthorne Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school caters to the new Spanish students, the classes are too large and this creates chaos and makes it hard for students who require more one on one attention, it's also bad for kids who are more quiet and sensitive and don't like loud and crazy environments.Parent Review4y ago - Lowell Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe one good thing is the education and curriculum which is top notch. The lunch is alsl way better than public school. That being said, This school can not follow a 504 plan or even remember to tell their staff that students have one. They let rich parents run all over staff and behave in a belittling and condescending way, because they "pay tuition". There is a claim they have a large focus on Christian values, but the air of gossip surrounding the parents and trickling down to the students is a huge issue. In addition when staff does hurt children, there is NO ACCOUNTABILITY AND NO APOLOGIES. They can not handle any student that doesn't fit the norm. If your student is not physically or mentally able to participate at 100% due to a disability they are likely to be made much worse here. If your child has a mental or physical disability, I urge you to seek education else where. They will negligently hurt your child. I repeat THIS IS NOT A SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN WITH ANY DISABILITY. TAKE YOUR SPECIAL NEED OR MEDICALLY NEEDING CHILD ELSE WHERE.Parent Review2mo ago - Mount Calvary Lutheran School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe became members of Mt. Calvary 30 years ago and have been members ever since. Things change but not the Christian education the children receive yet today. My son has grown to be a God loving married man unabashed and confident with a Masters degree in business. My daughter is a special angel. Her love for God and her gift of love and compassion led her to obtain her Doctorate degree of Occupational Therapy where she works with special need children to live a fulfilling life. Pre-K through 8 are the foundational years. Armed with foundational Christian guiding principles, Mt. Calvary’s staff and pastors excel WITH PARENTS to provide youth with a foundational education based on God’s love for us. For us, being involved in the church and school wasn’t an option, it was a blessing. You only have one shot at raising your children. We were blessed to have been members of Mt Calvary Church and School. Thank you God.Other Review10mo ago
