Deerfield Elementary School

This school really deserves a better rating and even more credit. Our son has been a student at Carollton for the past couple years and we highly recommend their Kindergarten, 1st grade teachers, and school Staff. We were very surprised & impressed on how involved everyone is concerning the well being of our son and his classmates. Though not everyone's experience may be the same, I just had to comment because all of the people we have had the pleasure of meeting at this school, from the Principle to the Lunch Staff, have treated my family with much respect and genuine compassion for being educators and role models. This sentiment is also felt by our friends and neighbors whose children continue to attend and graduate Carollton. Can't wait for our daughter to attend! & Thank you for your commitments in providing a great education and a safe environment for our kiddos to grow : )

Meadowview was good for our daughter because she was a responsible, intelligent student. As she progressed through the grades, the rigid expectations did create a little more stress for her. Our son has not had as much success at Meadowview. He is intelligent, funny, impulsive, active, and diagnosed with ADHD. While there are definitely some GREAT teachers at Meadowview, I think the school as a whole is in the early stages of truly accepting all students for who they are and working with them to succeed. In general, they are gradually moving away from traditional rewards/punishment and towards encouragement and accountability for all starting with where the individual student is. Every child deserves to be accepted for where they are right now. I think Meadowview is starting to recognize they need to take EACH child from where they are and move them step by step to where they need to be. The teacher needs to change to meet the needs of the child, not the child for the teacher. Note: the principal is new this year so I can't speak to great or poor leadership.

It is amazing. I love shepherd hills. I am a student, and this place makes me happy.I am at middle school level on STAR scores.I learned my whole life here.

Our family has been greatly blessed through Trinity for the past 5 years. Two of our children are in the grade school and another is in the preschool. The teachers are so warm and loving and create an incredible learning atmosphere.

We have made the right decision sending our kids here! Experienced teachers and a very motivated principal.

My child was not prepared academically when transitioning from this school into high school. At first I thought it was maybe a concern with my child individually. When consulting with the parents of two other students that transitioned to high school from her class they had the same concerns. Attended parent teacher conferences and I was led to believe my child was on the right path. A huge disappointment! A waste of money to pay for an education that put my child (and others according to parents of previous student I am still in contact with).
