1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagejust nowThis school has a excellent staff a awesome principal. There is so much love and care for children. My child has autism and couldn't speak or have a verbal response with. They taught her how to talk and proper talk at that. She can read and write and write with her left hand she is left handed. She can hold a conversation with me and express herself emotionally and physically. She can walk with better awareness. She can remember so many things and can be taught anything. She didn't even want to go back to school from a previous school incident. Now she has been going to Brown street academy for 5 years now and is still advancing. This school deserves an award.Parent Review7y ago7 Reviews - Elm Creative Arts Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageChildren obey your parentsParents do not provoke your child to anger. Many see this in the Bible a think it's just about maternal or fraternal parents. When a child is in your care you become their guardian even if for one or 2 hours a day. When a child feels nobody's listening to them and nobody cares yes they are going to act out. As a parent I experience it daily, but as a natural nurturer I keep at it even if at times I feel like giving up. At the age of 26 I was a parent my mindset was focused on being the best mother I could be to my children. I read to them, song to them, love them etc and they changed my life. But , putting them at this school has made me now believe that I have failed them, this school has there favorites, they are misjudging mine and my children's character . If there are no excuses where is your accountability as educators, y'all speak of mutual respect but where is it? When a child tells u someone is messing with them ,but they get in trouble only. My children are children, and are not and have never been exposed to anything that is not like Christ, so if they are being accused of wrong that assassinates their character you need proof. Stop picking because you don't know the hell they suffered. Right is right and wrong is wrong, I don't pick sides because there's fault on both ends, but one fault hasn't been on the earth as long as we have .Parent Review1y ago8 Reviews - Cross Trainers Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEvery school has its strengths and weaknesses, but some institutions stand out more for their flaws than their achievements. CTA, in this case, represents a school environment that fails to meet the expectations of students in several key areas, including academic quality, student support, school culture, and overall environment. While no school is perfect, CTA consistently demonstrates issues that negatively impact student success, motivation, and well-being. For many students, attending CTA feels less like an opportunity for growth and more like an obstacle to overcome. One of the biggest problems with CTA is its academic structure. A school’s primary purpose is to educate its students effectively, yet CTA struggles to provide a consistent and engaging learning experience. Many classes lack organization, with unclear expectations and inconsistent teaching methods. Some teachers may be passionate and dedicated, but the overall system does not support them in a way that allows students to benefit fully. Lessons can feel repetitive, outdated, or disconnected from real-world applications, making it difficult for students to stay interested or motivated.Additionally, CTA often fails to challenge students appropriately. Some classes move too slowly, leaving advanced students bored and unengaged, while others move too quickly without providing enough support for those who need help. This imbalance creates a frustrating environment where students either feel held back or completely lost. A strong school should adapt to different learning styles and levels, but CTA does not consistently achieve this balance.Another major issue is the lack of student support. Schools are supposed to provide guidance not only academically but also emotionally and socially. At CTA, students often feel overlooked or unsupported. Counseling services may be limited, difficult to access, or not as helpful as they should be. When students face challenges—whether it’s stress, personal problems, or academic struggles—they may not receive the attention or resources they need to overcome them.Parent Review2mo ago8 Reviews
