3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHawthorne Elementary school is very new for me and my son, but overall this is the best school in Milwaukee. All the other public schools doesn't have the loving experiences that every child needs from their teachers. My son experiences and as well as my own has been very touching to me, my son loves school and I make it my best to make sure that he is there everyday. The Hawthorne Family is and will always be number one in my heart, and I thank God that I have found a school like this. I am hoping that we as parents can help our children grow in this program and start a charity for our loving students and staff. I am welling to help with any resources that I can find.Parent Review9y ago - Kluge Elementary

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is the worst school ever. The teachers dont teach and the kids dont learn. I saw 2 roaches come out of someones desk. They need an inspector and an exterminator. The lower grade girls bathroom has water everywhere and someone could slip and get hurt. The teachers arent smart and cant teach. They need to be shut down.Student Review1mo ago - Greater Holy Temple Christian Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageRepeat offenders (bullies) have little to no punishment and little behavior modification and still continue to return from year to year. This is unacceptable for a school that has a zero tolerance policy on bullying. The upper campus has had a change in staff mid year (they are a repeat replacement staff) and both times this person has taken over the children they have taught have fallen behind. No amount of communication with the principal has changed the fact that they've hired a replacement teacher that is not suited to teach the level of education the children currently need. Experience means nothing when someone is not current on what is being taught. This will come to light come fall when the children take their tests. No amount of excuses can make up for what the children are missing out on. Instead any concern is met with a sweep it under the rug mentality and hostility. Last I checked teachers are there to teach and should know what they are teaching in order to accomplish that goal. It's not fair to the children that they get saddled with a replacement that is subpar when surely there was someone more educated for the job even with few yrs teaching experience.Parent Review10y ago - The Wisconsin Center for Gifted Learners

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThroughout its history, and that of Magellan Day School, WCGL has always provided a very high level of expertise and experience in working with gifted learners. In 2012, when this was no longer possible, the administration chose to close the school rather than operate a second rate program. Some parents, who were understandably upset, but had a need to blame someone, accused the administration. Now they have their own second rate (or worse) school of which WCGL is not and would never be a part.Other Review9y ago - Daughters of the Father Christian Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is excellent. If I would have listen to all the horrible reviews that had been posted about this school than I would have missed out. I had to go see for myself and I am glad that I followed my mind and heart. The teachers there are compassion and they take pride in their teaching methods. The Mission Statement stated that they will meet a child where they are at and take them to where they need to be, My GOD, what a true statement. Everybody experience is different, so I just advise the reviewers to go see for yourself and I guarantee that you will experience something greater and positive.Other Review8y ago
