Read what parents are saying about Madison Jewish Community Day SchoolMy son loves school and can go at his own pace.
Posted by a parent on 1/19/2017This school has such a caring, thoughtful, creative staff! They create an integrated curriculum--reading, math, science and social studies are related, and are enhanced with music and art, so students latch onto big ideas and are eager to learn and practice new skills. The Hebrew language study is also so participatory. Students are grouped flexibly, there is lots of one-on-one time, and expert help for those who need it. My student made such fast progress, and loved it. Plus, he feels like he's friends with everyone in the school.
Posted by a parent on 1/4/2017The kids show compassion and great social skills and love learning! The come home reading and doing math at the dinner table and are so excited and engaged. Plus this is a bi-lingual school! I am so impressed!

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn regard to the bussing: unfortunately our city's neighborhoods are very segregated, and more unfortunately, we use our schools to try to help rectify that issue. We were more interested in making sure that our children learn in a rich, diverse environment, and with the excellent teachers and leadership at Midvale, our children (one is a top honor student, one is a National Merit Scholar) received a great education that met their needs. My children often thank us for making sure they were educated in a diverse environment - they see their college peers struggle in a real-world setting. I sat on a bus for an hour as a kindergartener through winding country roads and highways, so a 15 minute ride seems insignificant in comparison to the social rewards. Lincoln school - the partner school - is in a fine neighborhood, it's just different. I encourage any prospective parent in either neighborhood to see for themselves, both schools welcome parents of prospective students, and teachers and parents are more than willing to answer questions. Once a Mustang, always a Mustang!Parent Review1y ago - Shorewood Hills Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have low stars of this school is because I fill the teacher does not really help me on helping my kids academically. My kids are happy which is good. But, I do not know what they have learned and what are their weakness. If I don't know that, how do I help them. I understand that test score is not everything, but it might be important to someone. I still believe test scores are important otherwise why is it still exist?? Teachers of my kids are very nice, but does not help me or understand the way to help my kids to improve on English and Math in particular. I strongly believe that English and Math are the fundamental. You need English to read and learn other things and math to help you have a better finance aspect in your life. I have been contacting school teachers on helping my kids on national standard tests and very few help are provided. I can easily google search those helps myself. The school is good, but I would highly appreciated that they can focus more academically (English and Math).Parent Review2y ago - St James Catholic School
