She is a native English speaker, and she was challenged to become proficient in Spanish. She rose to the challenge and is bilingual in just a year and a half. Here's what you should know: A large percentage of students enter school with a knowledge of Spanish, so your native English speaker will need to catch up. If you are not bilingual, you will need a translator app to assist your student with homework. The school shares a building with another elementary school that has had shocking behavioral problems.
