Read what parents are saying about Harmony Elementary SchoolThis School is really great! Would not change to another school. I went to this school since I was in kindergarten, now I'm in High School. Loved it! Staff is nice. Fun projects , awesome times . I loved how they had cool activities like the fun run, field day, field trips, assemblies, ect.. Had this one teacher named Mr. Towers, he is really nice. Lots of good memories from this school! :) Highly recommended!

Posted by a parent on 8/13/2017My daughter attend this school 8 years ago. She loved it and her teachers were great. They soon identified her as a fast learner and told her about Excel program that she could enrolled by taking a test. We had no idea about the program and thankful that her teachers told us about Excel. She soon got into the program full time, but also had to moved to Illahee elementary due to the reason that Illahee is the only near by school has the full time Excel program. Now, my son goes to Harmony Elementary and he loves it too. There was a time my son got bullied and when we told his teachers and school principal about the situation, they quickly take action, investigated and solved the problem. Many parents volunteers also very involve in the school as well and that's why i love it. There are always events happening for all students and parents. Kids start band and orchestra at 5th grade which is a year earlier than schools in Happy Valley, Or. (Very high income neighborhood paying 6,000.00 to 7000.00 a year.) This neighborhoods probably pay half of what people pay in property tax compare to Happy Valley, Oregon and your kids are getting more in education, so it is a deal.

Posted by a parent on 6/3/2014I really like this school. My daughter goes to this school. We had some misunderstanding with principal in the begining but we worked out. I agree not all teachers are great but so far my daughter loves this school and i like the results i see in her education. Were planning to move to another neighborhood which my kids wont be able to go to this school, and i hope they will let me drive her to this school. I really dont want to change schools.

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe quality of everything at this school is very poor. The administration cares not about families and will lie to protect themselves. There is a new building, but that means little when the people who are supposed to be educating the children act like they wish they would be anywhere else. There is a substantial amount of bullying, theft, and violence. All of which nothing is done about. Avoid this school at all costs.Parent Review2mo ago - Mill Plain Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBetween the low testing scores on average for all students at this school, the amount of bullying, Never having homework, bad leadership in the administration and taking away good rules and adding ones that are more complicated and make parents/students lives harder this school had went from one of the better schools In this area of Vancouver to a school o wouldn't recommend to anyone. As someone who was a student in the past and now has my own children going here it is astonishing to see how terrible this school is now.Parent Review5mo ago - Hearthwood Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI loved this school, I don’t remember much of the education, but the staff were so lovely. They cared so much for the students, the school videos are so adorable and I love how they kept doing that over the years. I keep going back to see my class in the Happy video a few years ago. So so adorable. Any child would be happy to be there.Other Review1y ago - Burnt Bridge Creek Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhen we purchased our house in 2021 amid the bidding wars, based on feedback from other community members, we made a house within this school's boundary high on our list. My child started at this school in second grade and is now in fourth grade. I think the administration, teachers, paraeducators, and counseling staff put a lot of effort into creating a welcoming and engaging environment for students. My child absolutely adores the garden. There are also alternative learning options available through programs such as EXCEL. I do wish there was a bit more communication from teachers in general about the positive things our children achieve throughout the year, but I understand they are very busy with limited time resources. Overall I think Illahee does a good job at fostering an adaptive learning environment to meet many different types of needs where everyone feels welcome.Parent Review6mo ago - Columbia Valley Elementary School
