Our son attended the Beginning School and just completed Kindergarten at Charles Wright Academy, and it was truly the perfect start to his educational journey. From day one, the teachers created a warm, nurturing environment where he felt safe to be himself, try new things, and make friends. Sociall
Posted by a parent on 8/17/2026Our son Robbie has a deep interest in sharks, honestly, “obsession” might be the more accurate word, and his teachers didn’t just notice it, they embraced it. They created a sensory table in the classroom and thoughtfully filled one area with sharks with him in mind. When Robbie walked in and saw it
Posted by a parent on 5/26/2026My daughter is wrapping up 2 years in the Beginning School program. Our experience has exceeded all of our expectations. First, the teachers and administrators: We feel like we know each of them well, and that they really know us and our kid. We are one team in her education & growth. It was a tough
Posted by a parent on 5/21/2026We have had a wonderful experience at CWA over the past 6 years both in the Lower School and Beginning School divisions. Both divisions have leadership and teachers that amazing. Our children are prepared both socially and academically for their journeys ahead. This school has been a wonderful choic
Posted by a parent on 4/2/2026This schools has a culture problem. The culture problem is not from the current or recent Heads of School who left in frustration, but because of the history of the school, the money that talks louder than ethical treatment of children and employees, and the way they look to blame someone instead of

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSend your child here if you are ok with them being assaulted by another child and them doing the bare minimum to correct the situation and they won't call you either. Your child will come home and tell you about being stabbed in the arm by another child and all they did was send him to the nurse. Also they will just move the child from the table instead of having that child sent home for their behavior. I WILL BE REMOVING MY CHILD FROM THIS SCHOOL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.Parent Review11mo ago - Oakbrook Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a former student, it is a great school, just a few complaints.1. Many of the staff seem to have a condescending attitude towards students who did nothing2. The new counselor seems to halfheartedly address issues such as bullying, and has even laughed at bullying reports.Other than those two problems, this is a great school to go to.Other Review2y ago - Evergreen Primary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf your child potentially has any kind of learning disability and you are considering this school as an out of district transfer please DO NOT APPLY. My child started kindergarten and we found out he had some behavioral issues like emotional dysregulation and ADHD. The teachers/staff were good with some situations but not good in others. Suspending a 6 year old is not helpful or supportive. We felt extremely discriminated against because they refused to support an out-of-district student and eventually revoked his application approval so we had to switch schools after spring break. Overall my poor baby's kindergarten year was mostly a traumatic experience. The new school is so much more experienced and has made a huge difference in a positive way. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended HCS as a student from Kindergarten to 5th grade. Let's just say when I entered Drum in 6th grade I was above and beyond in all areas of academics. If you want a real school that isn't the normal hum drum lamentations of public school and actually cares about a strong curriculum, small class sizes, and family engagement in a faith based setting raising strong, critically thinking little humans; there is no better option in the UP area than HCS.Other Review2y ago
