I'd like to respond to some of the other reviews as an active student at Ingraham High School. Ingraham is one of the most academically sound and intense schools in the PSE as a result of their IB program. If the low AP enrollment scares you away then don't worry, it's because students are taking IB

Posted by a parent on 8/4/2022I'd caution against taking the IB program here. It's true that IB is very "rigorous", but to what effect? If you're advanced academically, you'd probably be much more happy just taking the Running Start classes, because you will get far more actual college credit that way. Or if you qualify for IBX

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSt Matthew provides a wonderful education and environment. It is truly an extension of the home and family. Kindness is king, academics are appropriately rigorous, the staff is dedicated, and the parent volunteers are tireless and committed. I was blessed to have receive my education at St Matthew School, and my kids love their school, teachers and friends. Returning to St Matt as a parent was like a giant hug. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCKS is a great school where kids feel safe and valued. We came from a big school where it felt like no one had the time for our kids and have found a welcoming community at CKS where the administration knows our kids and the teachers are amazing. The challenging academics are taught in a way that makes it fun to learn and they have a great STEM program. These are opportunities that we did not have at public schools. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI do not understand the negative reviews below. The Evergreen School is a place that preaches and teaches kindness, acceptance and inclusion of all. The below reviews make it seem like acceptance of all is a bad thing. I want my kids at a school where they are accepted and where kids are taught to be kind. Evergreen focuses on the whole child. The academics are challenging and kids are met where they are academically. There is also so much focus on SEL, which is critical for the gifted population. In the "All Kinder Meeting" on Monday mornings in Kindergarten, kids learn about a different SEL topic, such as respect, kindness, friendship, gratitude. This is a wonderful example of the school's approach to SEL. In response to the negative reviews below - if you want your kids to be closed-minded, hateful and judgmental, then please don't send them here. Evergreen is a wonderful place for joyful learning and producing kind, creative, inclusive and well-rounded kids.
