Cedar Trails Elementary

Our fifth grader and kindergartener attends this school - and it's been incredible. We relocated from another country and were not sure what to expect with our kids adjusting to a new culture and school. After a year attending Discovery, all our worries were put to rest. The teachers and principle are AMAZING. They are extremely hands-on and caring for our children through every stage of their education - from the time the kids are dropped off to the time they hand the kids back to us. The guidance counselor has been super helpful on monitoring our kids' adjustment, intervening when necessary to work with the kids and us parents on how to keep things running smoothly, and immediately responds whenever we reach out. Our kids are advancing well academically and the classrooms are equipped with many technological resources to supplement the learning experience (e.g. digital interactive boards and laptops for EACH kid). We couldn't have wished for a better school to send out kids to.

SnoSprings is an incredible school! I have 2 kids who go here and they are very different in personality. That said, both of them LOVE SnoSprings so very much - they love going to school, they love learning, they love all of the staff and the community. It is a school that TRULY stands out in how they care for kids. Every staff member is caring and kind and invested in the kids. There is very little group mentality and instead, each kiddo is celebrated for who they are and how they learn. They emphasize kindness which infiltrates the whole school. My kids come home giddy from their day at school and consistently talk about how much they are learning and how much fun they are having. I've watched both of my kiddos grow in independence and confidence since attending SnoSprings. The principal is very communicative, easy to talk to about anything, very organized and welcoming to parents. I would HIGHLY recommend this school. What a joy it has been for our life and continues to be a bright light for our family.

Kids are at risk of covid. The stuffs are not vaccinated and they had recent covid exposure due to that.

Eastside Community School is an amazing school where my family has been for seven years. I grew up in a private Catholic school and my husband went to public school. We each had our own ideas of what school should look like. We hadn’t heard of Waldorf education, and it has changed our entire approach to learning and parenting as well. Our kids are thriving at ECS. It’s a place where they are allowed to be kids and not overwhelmed by the stresses of adult life and expectations. At ECS the kids are given ample time outside and physical engagement throughout the day, so their minds can learn because their physical needs are being met. The approach is holistic but with social emotional development at the center. ECS is screen free and encourages homes to be as well. That was honestly difficult for my family at first but has changed our lives in such a positive way. My kids are social, inquisitive, imaginative, healthy and most important happy. They are thriving at ECS and I wish that for all kids.
