Posted by a parent on 9/7/2022Very good, the secretary Debbie is effective and good, but often curt and rude. The aides are annoying at recess and doing traffic. Necessary yes, but over the top and rude if you make a simple mistake like not pull up far enough. I can now see why movies and comedians make fun of this type of thing

Younger is a year in, mostly in the toddler program and now graduated into the primary program. We love it here as do our kids. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEastside Community School is an amazing school where my family has been for seven years. I grew up in a private Catholic school and my husband went to public school. We each had our own ideas of what school should look like. We hadn’t heard of Waldorf education, and it has changed our entire approach to learning and parenting as well. Our kids are thriving at ECS. It’s a place where they are allowed to be kids and not overwhelmed by the stresses of adult life and expectations. At ECS the kids are given ample time outside and physical engagement throughout the day, so their minds can learn because their physical needs are being met. The approach is holistic but with social emotional development at the center. ECS is screen free and encourages homes to be as well. That was honestly difficult for my family at first but has changed our lives in such a positive way. My kids are social, inquisitive, imaginative, healthy and most important happy.
