Woodland Elementary School

First, this school's teachers are absolutely amazing! Our kids went here for 5 years and didn't have a bad one in the bunch. That being said, last year we left and quite frankly we were one of many families we know who did. They are the reason for 2 stars not 1. I couldn't do that to them. There is a strong family feel to the school due to it being a walking only location. But, this can lead to clichés amongst parents and if you're not able to be involved your child tends to be overlooked. Our child had an IEP and once COVID hit and we went virtual we were able to finally see into the quality of "services" he was being provided. We were shocked at the lack of follow through on the agreed upon measures for him. We eventually pulled him out of the additional services as it was more work for us to enforce what was agreed upon than it was for him to get the actual services. We were one of many parents who did this. The final nail in the coffin for our family was the overtly political nature of the administration. From social media posts to the parents PTA FB page to hall displays during specific months to the principal's very office it is overwhelmingly weighed to one political side. In my opinion keep your politics out of our schools. Teach democracy, our political process and how to form your own opinions but please keep it neutral.

Horrendous, at this point I do not understand why we waste money on you through taxes, I will do everything I can in order to give free choice of schools and put the public system out of business you are destroying the future generation to protect a generation that has lived a full happy life. You are punishing students for wanting to have friends and you are promoting the laziest approach to teaching I have ever seen in my entire life!

This small school is why we as parents chose this place for our little one.This school demonstrates the love and integrity that a parent needs to feel when placing a child in school for the first time. All the staff is attentive knows your child well and you can trust that education here based in faith, family and academics.

Amazing!!! Principle is old school and I love it, the way he runs his school is wonderful and I absolutely will keep my child here! We came from Zeiger and Im very happy we did, my child is going to keep thriving here. The assembly I went to where my little one got an award, I was blown away with how well behaved all the students were! And they actually give out awards to students, let parents know and then make the kids feel wonderful! This school is at capacity now, let that tell you how wonderful it is, the stats for diversity here is the best I've seen in any elementary around, it is so diverse and that itself will create a great environment. 10/10!!
