Union High School

I do not recommend Fishers Landing Elementary. My daughter was placed in programs without my knowledge, staff were unprofessional, and parent involvement was inconsistently handled. As a parent, I did not feel supported or respected, and I cannot trust this school to provide a safe and transparent environment for students.

When we purchased our house in 2021 amid the bidding wars, based on feedback from other community members, we made a house within this school's boundary high on our list. My child started at this school in second grade and is now in fourth grade. I think the administration, teachers, paraeducators, and counseling staff put a lot of effort into creating a welcoming and engaging environment for students. My child absolutely adores the garden. There are also alternative learning options available through programs such as EXCEL. I do wish there was a bit more communication from teachers in general about the positive things our children achieve throughout the year, but I understand they are very busy with limited time resources. Overall I think Illahee does a good job at fostering an adaptive learning environment to meet many different types of needs where everyone feels welcome.
