This school sucks. Don't send your kids here. I used to go here but I was bullied so severely I developed an anxiety disorder, and PTSD. The teachers did absolutely nothing.

It is overall a decent school. Although, it is a bit unorganized and the leadership is lacking. PTSA is going downhill. Principal Totten does her job fairly well, but she get easily flustered and immature when things don’t go her way. It is easy to spot this with her. We need strong leadership and levelness for GHE to be excellent. There is no room for pettiness and chaos when it comes to leading a large school like GHE. I wish to see more accountability and professionalism from leadership so teachers and staff can follow. Teachers are excellent but also lack leadership qualities.

I had to pull my child out of this DISTRICT because these teachers prioritize teaching little kids Spanish over their own language. The teachers prioritize partying over the students education. My child says that they can't trust own teachers, there was no honesty. My child also did not feels safe at school whatsoever, there is little to no protection and constant lock downs. After the school year finished of my child's second grade year. My child didn't know the alphabet, didn't know how to read and struggled on speaking his own language. So thanks a lot hazel valley for doing that.

Teachers are extremely involved with all students. Safety is definitely one of the biggest priorities. My daughter struggles with school a lot due to medical issues and she has been doing amazing since she started attending this school !

I encountered an issue at the school roundabout where I was approached by staff members and the principal for briefly stopping in what appeared to be a designated parking space while trying to locate my child, who was delayed in coming out. The communication seemed passive aggressive, despite them placing a sign in the thru lane to direct traffic through the parking spaces instead. If they are worried about traffic getting backed up, why put a sign blocking the actual thru lane?Additionally, my child has shared that they have been experiencing bullying from another student. When my child reported it, the teacher allegedly dismissed their concerns, even as my child was visibly upset. I also previously called the school office to inform them that my child would be taking the bus home, but that message was not relayed to their teacher. As a result, there was confusion at dismissal, and I had to leave work early to pick them up.These repeated communication and supervision issues have been frustrating and concerning. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this school.

Awesome teachers, parents, and community. St B serves students with learning plans that they can accommodate. Very active Parent Group. Great science curriculum, diverse community, fun community events.

My 2 children have been at this school since they were 18 months old in the toddler environment. They are now in capstone kindergarten and 3rd grade. The guides are excellent and compassionate and love the montessori method with a passion. There are many long lived guides and staff at this school, they are like my extended family. I know my children are excited to learn, are very independent, and are safe here. The materials and learning presented to them are beautiful, structured. I never truly expected to relearn the binomial equation with my child in 2nd grade only and was shocked to learn the basics of the binomial cube with which comes from 'binomial equation' was presented to my children when they were 4 years ago in the primary environment. I love how the kids naturally as part of the curriculum help each other. Montessori is the most reasonable and practical way to learn. I wish i could have gone to this school!
