We moved the children from a day care facility and the difference was mind-blowing. It addressed our childcare needs but on top of that my children received an AMAZING EDUCATION

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt is overall a decent school. Although, it is a bit unorganized and the leadership is lacking. PTSA is going downhill. Principal Totten does her job fairly well, but she get easily flustered and immature when things don’t go her way. It is easy to spot this with her. We need strong leadership and levelness for GHE to be excellent. There is no room for pettiness and chaos when it comes to leading a large school like GHE. I wish to see more accountability and professionalism from leadership so teachers and staff can follow. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had to pull my child out of this DISTRICT because these teachers prioritize teaching little kids Spanish over their own language. The teachers prioritize partying over the students education. My child says that they can't trust own teachers, there was no honesty. My child also did not feels safe at school whatsoever, there is little to no protection and constant lock downs. After the school year finished of my child's second grade year. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a grandparent pleased with what I have observed during the 7 years my grandchildren have attended St Francis.Beyond the fine academics, I have been most impressed by the schools efforts to educatethe "whole" person and not just infuse knowledge.I was also very impressed with my grandson's sixth grade teacher who divided students into quads.A student wonpoints for their group if they caught the teacher making and error in math ,spelling etc.I thought it a clever idea for sustaining student's attentionand alertness.There is "education" going on at St Francis beyond schooling or as Mark Twain said "I never let schooling interfere with my education!".St Francis is a great school with committed teachers and a very supportive community of parents!Parent Review1y ago - Normandy Park Academy Montessori
