Larkspur Middle School

The first year our child was in this school for preK it was awesome. After that the decline started. First off the front office staff have to be the rudest and laziest bunch I've ever encountered. It really was a nightmare dealing with this group and almost anything they could push off on the teachers they would. Most of the time I found myself having to message teachers for administrative issues. It was ridiculous. It seemed like one year we would have an engaging teacher and the next one that would be absent more times than present. I have to second a review I read above sending the chromebooks hone everyday with the children while they were in school. Then requiring parents to pay for any repairs. Really seemed like a way for that part of the budget to be put on the backs if the parents. A few years into our child attending it was brought to our attention that services were likely needed. Ok so we went through the process only for the request to be shut down. It took going through the OPEC department to move this along to start the needed services. The communication the last two years after the pandemic and with changes bringing a new principal in and then a new vice principal 2 years in a row was most alarming. At one time I'm sure this was a good school but we totally regret the financial maneuvers we jumped through to put our child in KES. The last year was an absolute nightmare I hope no parent has to go through what we went through with a total lack of emotional support for our child due to personal tragedies and unresponsive requests to quench excessive bullying our child was put through the last year. There are definitely some huge changes that need to be made there. Severe incompetence big time.

I want to begin by commending my son's high school, Green Run, for its exceptional qualities. Despite the numerous criticisms I've heard, I believe it's essential to share my positive experiences. The school's diverse environment is truly commendable, bringing together students from different walks of life. It's not defined by any single racial or ethnic group; instead, it's a nurturing community that values inclusivity. Throughout my son's high school years, the school has kept me well-informed about various events and activities, enabling me to stay involved. As my son enters his senior year, I'm excited to see what's in store. To critics, I suggest focusing on constructive feedback rather than negativity. Thank you, and I wish everyone a wonderful day. This review is my sincere assessment.

The teachers are even bigger bullies than the kids. Thank God I got my daughter out of there. My daughter is an extremely sweet 3rd grader and this school brought out a depression in my daughter that I never want to see again. Her new teacher even commented that her heart had been broken by her past teacher. I’m just glad we are gone and she is healing and has an incredible team behind her!! Don’t do it to your child!!

They ruined my ADHD son life. The admin and assistant principal were bullying my son. Ethics and religion discrimination is very common Zero support, very rude and they have a problem for each solution. We got an admin transfer and the principal retired on the sane year

My son attends their prek program and has a disability. He was touched inappropriately inside his pants by another student on more than one occasion. The assistant principal handled this report extremely poorly and seemed to try to brush it under the rug. In the end they ultimately blamed my son’s disability as the reason for not removing the other child from his classroom because he wasn’t able to tell them exactly when it happened. I have already spoken with another school and will be submitting an out of zone request purely because of the way this was handled by the assistant principal. No documentation was made when we met to make the report. She undermined my child throughout the entire process. She also consistently lied and made inaccurate statements on the Title IX form, that she corrected when called out on. This is not someone who belongs as a head of a school.
