Today was an extremely upsetting experience for a mother and her 6-year-old son. He was supposed to be dismissed as a walker, and his mother was waiting for him after school. After about 40 minutes, the school staff and management discovered that, by mistake, he had been sent on a school bus instead
Posted by a parent on 8/18/2026School is ineffective at dealing with bullying. Bullying concerns are not taken seriously and seem to be treated as a conflict rather than bullying, which makes matters worse! My kid kept getting threatened retaliation by the bully if he continued reporting incidents. It was a miserable school year.

From school principal to his class teacher everyone is involved in bringing out the best in him. As a first time mom I feel supported. My son loves this school and is excited to go everyday. Posted by a parent on 9/30/2021Before moving into the area, we checked out the schools carefully since our three children were currently attending a private school in our old neighborhood in Maryland and the tuition/fees just weren't sustainable for our family. Our decision paid off as the girls had a wonderful elementary school

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhen I first researched Rolling Ridge Elementary, I was admittedly concerned. The school's GreatSchools rating was lower than others in the area, and the pressure to send your children to a "top-rated" school felt overwhelming. After three years with children enrolled at Rolling Ridge, I can confidently say those initial concerns were unjustified. This school has exceeded expectations in every way. My children are thriving academically. Their teachers have not only challenged them to grow in their education but have also encouraged their independence. The faculty genuinely cares about the students’ success and well-being. My kids feel happy and excited to go to school. I couldn't ask for a better environment to send my children.Parent Review1y ago - Sugarland Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is good, feeds well, is well kept, and provides good education to students. This year they have a dean and she is not that friendly. My child does not like her demeanor and feels that she does not talk friendly to kids. Overall Horizon is good just some staff need to be more friendly and better costumer service by the main office staff.Parent Review1y ago - Dominion High School
