Read what parents are saying about Woodrow Wilson Middle SchoolHello, I am graduated from this school, and I’m now in high school, but I felt like leaving a review because I have to be brutally honest with Woodrow. This school is not a good school in the slightest, and I don’t care what anybody has to say. Woodrow was an absolute terrible school, and besides some nice teachers, the entire experience was quite bad. The people there were very rude, especially students. They don’t care about bullying (I saw so many people get bullied! Teachers, staff, principal, nobody cares). A lot of the teachers here, besides some, are very mid, and I don’t think Woodrow does a well enough job on preparing their students for high school. I would say, especially algebra/math, is a major problem, and you basically just get passed by every year there. In high-school I’ve had struggles as a student, and I think the teachers have something to do with it, as Woodrow is very mediocre. The school is filled with bullies, staff who doesn’t care, principal who doesn’t care, teachers who aren’t setting up future students for success. I do not recommend this school at all; it needs to be better!

Posted by a parent on 3/29/2017At Woodrow Wilson Middle School, I am a parent, substitute teacher, and member of the PTA. I love this school in every way and am proud of Woodrow's students and staff. There are issues in every school, including this one. Each person's experience will always be unique. Hopefully yours will be as positive as mine and my son's has been.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSome of the teachers and staff are amazing and long time served. This is an affluent neighborhood school with structured and organized standards, good resources, nice building and playground, security and good support staff. Great PTA participation and parent communication. Just a few questionable teachers but overall an excellent elementary. Exceptional teachers include Houtz (K), Whitehead (5th), Richards (Librarian). Great chess club and family events.Parent Review1y ago - Virginia Heights Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageabsolutely terrible! Not just the experiences I have had with the teachers, but the principle as well. I've noticed they are really good at changing the subject instead of answering questions. Problems will get worse with no desire to fix them.Parent Review3y ago - Wasena Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI think this is a great school for children who do not struggle with behavioral or learning disabilities. The principle lacks experience and tolerance for children struggling with mental health. She struggles respecting the opinions of others when dealing with situations where is child is a clearly struggling with mental health disorder and is quick to send a child home if she doesn’t have the staff to deal with the behavior.Parent Review2y ago - Grandin Court Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son went to Grandin Court. He has a learning disability and was treated terribly. He was bullied by students and some staff members. He never had homework because he had a learning disability. Didn’t learn a thing and was not prepared at all for middle school. If you have a child with a learning disability, you might want to check out other schools.Parent Review1mo ago - Hurt Park Elementary School
