I think for the 2015 school year, Hurt Park has been a great school, My daughter use to not want to go to school do to the bullying she went through with other Roanoke City Schools, Hurt Park Changed that for my daughter, she loves to go to school so I want to thank the Hurt Park principal, Teachers

The principle lacks experience and tolerance for children struggling with mental health. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGetting a phone call saying your daughter's absence from school is unexcused after informing the teacher she's sick doesn't sit well with me. It's negligence on the school's part in one manner or another. It's offensive getting a call from school that makes you feel like they're saying "hey you're basically a bad parent". If it's a policy it needs changed. The bus has been more than an hour late on multiple occasions (almost biweekly).
