Read what parents are saying about Providence Elementary SchoolWe've had a very positive experience at Providence Elementary. The teachers seem to really care about their students. My son has excelled both socially and academically and enjoys attending.
Posted by a parent on 5/17/2023Amazing staff, our daughter loves it here. Our experience has been very positive, we feel lucky to part of such a strong community. Mrs. Rucker is a fantastic principal.
Posted by a parent on 3/6/2021We feel comfortable sending our son here because he is cared for. We also love that there are so many colors here and no one seems to realize that that used to be an issue.
Posted by a parent on 4/25/2018They have smart boards, kiss of death. So far in Art, Music and at kindergarten snack time they use then to show tv shows or videos which is lazy teaching imo. They need to throw out the smart boards, tv shouldn't be in the classroom everyday. If they change this I will change my review, I don't mind the kindergarten teacher otherwise.
Posted by a parent on 9/11/2015We LOVE Providence and ALL of the Teachers and Staff!! Our 7 year old son and 4 year old twins have THE BEST TEACHERS. I highly recommend sending your kids to a school that is completely involved in your child's daily welfare. I have weekly contact with all of their teachers and I get to volunteer once a week (currently). Sending our kids here has been the greatest decision we could have made for our children. Special shout out to Mrs. Ellerbee, Mrs. Watts, Mrs. Ashbrook and Mrs. Snead.....we LOVE you ALL!!

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere are a lot of bullies at this school and no one ever does anything about it. All they do is give you lip service. I haven’t been happy with the administration or the staff at all. I hate dropping my kids off every morning, I feel like they’re walking into a prison. The scores have improved and it looks like a good school but don’t be fooled because it’s padded with the gifted classes. My kids asked me why when a kid who always misbehaves does something good they make a really big deal out of it but I never get recognized when I do something good? They aren’t stupid! We are waiting for the interest rates to go down so we can move out of this district asap. If you’re looking at the reviews to check out the school because you’re considering buying a house in the district, don’t!Parent Review3mo ago - W W Gordon Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe love Evergreen and everything they stand for! We will have 3 kids there in the fall. The neighborhood is lovely, the teachers and staff are phenomenal, and the families are involved! I love the emphasis on our multi-cultural community. They are being taught love, acceptance, and "ally-ship" which is above and beyond the regular curriculum. I've only had experience in general and gifted education and we have been very pleased so far.Parent Review8mo ago - Thelma Crenshaw Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a former student at Banner, my experiences were difficult and often hurtful. There were a few nice students and teachers, but overall I didn’t feel like I belonged. It seemed like the administration didn’t care about the students’ problems unless the teachers or administrators were directly involved. I was bullied quite often by students. Some of the rules seemed silly and unnecessary. The students were consistently threatened with demerits. I’m glad I am no a student at Banner.Other Review7mo ago - Heritage Christian Academy
