Read what parents are saying about Huguenot High SchoolOne of the better RPS schools. My daughter loves this school. There is a no-tolerance for bad behavior rule here.
Posted by a parent on 4/2/2014I am happy that there will be a new principal. The outgoing principal cared only about himself and test scores. Let's hope the new principal actually aids the teachers and keeps the kids focused. There are some fantastic teachers at this school who have been consistently thwarted in doing their jobs by bad administration. It is hoped that this will improve.
Posted by a community member on 7/5/2012My son is a freshman at this school and at the beginning of the year the did not have a schedule, his bookbag and leather jacket was stolen out of his locker and of course the security camera saw nothing; and every other day there is a fight in the building. The principal promise the ninth grade students that if they passed their SOLS he would let them take a trip to six flags, but then he decided to cancel the trip without notifying the students. Besides his awesome guidance couselor Dr. Ward, and some of his teachers, I would not recommend this school.
Posted by a parent on 6/9/2012I personally graduated from this school with an Advanced Studies Diploma. The teachers are just fine. They take extra initiative if the child will let them. I do know that a lot of the students do come from poorer neighborhoods. I did, and there where no problems in the school. But one main issue is that Richmond City schools need more funding. The state needs to take some of the money from Henrico and Chesterfield and use it for the poorer kids, not just the 'rich kids'.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI do not like this school. They should be working more on their approach to children and find new ways to support students' work, and their needs. The way how they are ''settling'' things is not ok. Teachers do not know how to handle the differences and achievements of their students.Other Review2y ago - A M Davis Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe buses are 45 min last in the morning and afternoon in the beginning of the school year. During the school year it's just a frequent surprise. The children are subjected to extraordinary long days in extreme weather. Parents especially single patent just given it is what it is explanation. Funds need to be allocated to stop this clown show.Parent Review7mo ago - Bon Air Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall, I am extremely pleased with Greenfield Elementary, especially my son’s teacher. We left a terrible experience at a charter school in Richmond, and moved here primarily for the schools. My son is visibly happier and his reading and social skills are rapidly progressing (these were major concerns for us in the past.)Parent Review4y ago - J.B. Fisher Elementary School
