Great little school! Don’t judge a book by its cover!

Bon Air Elementary is a pretty special place. This is the 3rd year our kid has attended and we really appreciate the little community that has been built around the school. There are a group of very active parents and PTA which has helped enrich the school experience with extra activities like Pizza and Pumpkins in October or Field Day at the end of the year. Volunteers also help lead run club every Wednesday. While there are a lot of activities, you can choose your adventure. There doesn't feel the competitive pressure of needing to keep up with other families.

Greenfield Elementary. The principal is very pleasant, has a genuine smile and says hello.The person in charge of making sure the kids go the the correct vehicle needs to pay a little more attention.Another thing I observed is some parents come on the school grounds half naked. Backs, stomach showing and some have no bras on. Wow, I have never seen anything like that in Chesterfield before. For a minute I thought I was in the hood in Richmond.

La verdad que a los hispanos no recomiendo esta escuela hay mucho racismo, la directora le da muy poca importancia a las madres poniendo por encima a las profesoras tenía ahí a mis tres hijos el de 5to grado bien solo una profesora de matemáticas fue un trauma para él en muchas ocasiones me hizo saber el niño que ella era racista También tenía un niño de 6 años allí con la profesora stonnell no se las recomiendo esta mujer y las demás me hicieron tanta presión culpando al niño de no aprender que preferí sacarlo al ver que me llamaron para 4 reuniones donde no me hablaban nada bueno de mi pequeño hijo. La conclusión para esta escuela es que son racistas no la recomiendo a las familias hispanas

The teachers are wonderful, but the students and the principal are the problem, especially if you're coloured, queer, and/or a minority. Students use slurs, such as the R word, often. If you are not popular, you become the next headline of gossip; everyone knows everyone, whether good or bad.

While our daughter was at RMS from K-8, we always knew she was exactly where she needed to be, and that she was receiving an excellent well-rounded education. Now as a proud parent of an RMS graduate, we are able to see the benefits of her time at RMS through a different lens. She was prepared to meet the challenges of high school. She has practical skills, critical thinking skills, and self-reflection abilities that are actively benefiting her high school journey, in addition to be fully prepared for the academic rigor of her classes. She understands the value of service and leadership. We highly recommend Richmond Montessori and are grateful for all the educators at RMS.
