Community Reviews
Fisher is an incredible neighborhood school! My god children attended here, and I loved the family atmosphere the staff and PTA have created. You are always greeted with a smile and welcomed warmly when you visit the building. The teachers are amazing, so kind and willing to help however they can. T
Posted by a community member on 8/22/2026We currently have two children attending Fisher and have been so impressed by what a supportive and small school it is. When we expressed academic concerns about one of our children we were met with nothing but support from their classroom teachers and admin. Staff was communicative and transparent
Posted by a parent on 7/10/2026I found that communication with parents was often lacking, and concerns were not always addressed in a timely or satisfactory manner. I was particularly disappointed by the way certain decisions affecting students were handled, as I felt that parental input and preferences were not given appropriate
Posted by a parent on 7/4/2026JB Fisher appears to prioritize a wide range of extracurricular activities while placing insufficient emphasis on academic enrichment. Although the school organizes many free activities, very few are focused on education. The only event that stands out as academically valuable is the Science Fair.A
Posted by a parent on 6/29/2026We LOVE our Fisher family! It’s tough to be an educator these days but teachers and staff at Fisher are always cheerful and loving and really make their students and families feel special. Small, diverse population of some of the nicest kids I’ve ever met and lots of activities. They have sports, gi

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBon Air Elementary is a pretty special place. This is the 3rd year our kid has attended and we really appreciate the little community that has been built around the school. There are a group of very active parents and PTA which has helped enrich the school experience with extra activities like Pizza and Pumpkins in October or Field Day at the end of the year. Volunteers also help lead run club every Wednesday. While there are a lot of activities, you can choose your adventure. There doesn't feel the competitive pressure of needing to keep up with other families.Parent Review10mo ago - Crestwood Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers are wonderful, but the students and the principal are the problem, especially if you're coloured, queer, and/or a minority. Students use slurs, such as the R word, often. If you are not popular, you become the next headline of gossip; everyone knows everyone, whether good or bad.Student Review4mo ago - Richmond Montessori School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhile our daughter was at RMS from K-8, we always knew she was exactly where she needed to be, and that she was receiving an excellent well-rounded education. Now as a proud parent of an RMS graduate, we are able to see the benefits of her time at RMS through a different lens. She was prepared to meet the challenges of high school. She has practical skills, critical thinking skills, and self-reflection abilities that are actively benefiting her high school journey, in addition to be fully prepared for the academic rigor of her classes. She understands the value of service and leadership. We highly recommend Richmond Montessori and are grateful for all the educators at RMS.Parent Review8mo ago - Collegiate School
