They go above and beyond to make sure their students are well taken care of. They also have so much extra that they do with the students. It's an amazing school!!

We love Linkhorne Elementary School! Our son has had a great experience and has had great teachers and staff working to make this school a wonderful place to learn. This is a unique school full of diversity, including a French school within the school. Mrs.Sawyer, the principal, works very hard and it shows. She, as well as the teachers, are willing to listen and they are making a difference!

We moved here in August, coming from some of the best schools in the state of Illinois. It's taken a bit to adjust to Perrymont, but overall I am pleased. My kids have amazing teachers, and the principal is very active. Parental involvement is not high, which can cause a bit of a struggle for teachers and parents that do want to be involved, but I have hopes this will be turned around. The current details regarding this school are inaccurate. My son in in chess club, and goes to math club at this school. He is also involved in show choir. There are other clubs as well. I know Perrymont has made great strides where math and reading are both concerned. By reading the ratings on Great Schools you would believe that this is not a good school, and I tend to disagree. Yes, there is a higher rate of poverty in this area, but that doesn't mean the school is bad, this just means there are a few extra challenges, and I see a staff led by a principal that is eager to meet these challenges head on.

I had the great displeasure of substitute teaching in this school earlier this year. I came in hopeful since the program I graduated from at Liberty University really pumped up this school. I was subbing for a kindergarten classroom. First of all, I hate that the school is 3 floors - I had no idea where anything was and no one helped me to figure it out. At most other schools, they give first time subs a map. Furthermore, the children were awful and undisciplined. It felt like hell on earth. I never gained control over the classroom. I reached out to both the principal and another male staff member for help, which was a big deal because I never ask administration/other teachers for help while subbing. I was brushed off. I was reduced to tears before the end of the day. I was supposed to come back the next day, but I told them I would not be returning. I will never sub at Bass Elementary again. Furthermore, I would never in a million years want to be employed there full-time or send my own children there.

My son has been a student of Dearington Elementary since kindergarden and he is now in the fifth grade.The staff under Mrs Haley have always been caring and supportive in every area of his life.I have visited the school every month and I can see the sincerity in all the staff.I can only hope that the system allows this closeness and caring for each student to continue.

My children were students at Madison Heights Elementary School. They had a great time time . The staff was great and did a wonderful job with Them. My gram children's are now now going to the school .
