3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved here in August, coming from some of the best schools in the state of Illinois. It's taken a bit to adjust to Perrymont, but overall I am pleased. My kids have amazing teachers, and the principal is very active. Parental involvement is not high, which can cause a bit of a struggle for teachers and parents that do want to be involved, but I have hopes this will be turned around. The current details regarding this school are inaccurate. My son in in chess club, and goes to math club at this school. He is also involved in show choir. There are other clubs as well. I know Perrymont has made great strides where math and reading are both concerned. By reading the ratings on Great Schools you would believe that this is not a good school, and I tend to disagree. Yes, there is a higher rate of poverty in this area, but that doesn't mean the school is bad, this just means there are a few extra challenges, and I see a staff led by a principal that is eager to meet these challenges head on.Parent Review9y ago - Robert S.
