Read what parents are saying about Yowell Elementary SchoolMy son had a very positive experience at this school, and he learned a lot. There seemed to be a lot of compassion. My son helped a lot of the kids with some disabilities, and he did not feel like there was a lot of bullying going on. I read all of the reviews before he went, which weren't very positive, and I was very grateful that it went really well. This is just our experience, but I thought this was a great school.
Posted by a parent on 3/5/2020I would rate this school a 0. I want to transfer him to another school but the closest school has low academic ratings so I just pray next year is better. My son fears to go to school and learning. It is hindering him on his studies and social-emotional growth.

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePearl Sample was not originally the school I wanted my children to attend when I moved to the area. I could not have been more wrong. PS has been nothing but great to my children. The can see their growth as they move through grades. If I have had any issues they have always been address accordingly. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMany students are below reading level. One of my kids complains about how they have to do indoor recess when personally all kids should have all of their recesses outside, as long as weather permits. They're cooped up all day. I'm disappointed in the lack of field trips one of my kids gets. 1 of the comments says, title 1, more funds, but I don't see where the funds are going. Kids will come home to tell me they've been harassed, touched, or hit by a student and the teacher always failed to inform me. Unless your kid knows who did it, teachers won't want to provide information. Lack of diversity when it comes to educators. Mainly white females. We need more male educators or educators of different ethnicities or backgrounds. A lot are usually new and from PA. It's like pulling for teeth trying to find out what all your kid is learning about. Always vague answers. Whatever happened to syllabi in school?Parent Review11mo ago - Epiphany Catholic School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children, currently in 4th, 3rd and Preschool love their school. They have had a wonderful experience with their teachers and classmates. The music program is wonderful and my oldest has had the chance to participate in sports we would not have tried. Their knowledge of the Faith is wonderful and I see them growing to be productive adolescents.Principal Review5y ago - St Lukes School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCCS has been a wonderful learning environment for all three of my children. Very grateful that we were able to provide them this learning foundation. Some of our favorite aspects are the smaller classroom sizes and the fun extracurricular activities.Parent Review11mo ago
